Schools and all groups are welcome to learn more about Latino culture with a special hands-on cultural tour.
Ofrendas will be on display for public viewing until November 23, 2023.
The general public and school groups are welcome to visit the altars by appointment during November 2023
Altars or Ofrendas are created in order to welcome back the souls of deceased loved ones. Decorating a space with the items that they enjoyed before their passing, helps to comfort and refresh their souls after their long journey back to the world of the living. The Day of the Dead is not a sad or solemn event, but rather a celebration of the life that was shared.
Create an altar in remembrance of a loved one.
Visit the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center during the month of Novembe to view community altars.
